About us
Welcome to Eumundi Cake Co.
The Eumundi Cake Co’s long rich history began in September of 2005, formerly
known as The Eumundi Food Company. Mary started making cakes for her stall at
the Eumundi Markets and Noosa Farmers Markets from the fruit left over from
creating syrups, jams and jellies.
She hated throwing away the juicy oranges, rhubarb, lemons that she juiced or
macerated to produce her bottled goods, so created new recipes for cakes to use the
local fruit available.
Starting from that simple base at the markets, Mary was approached by a Noosa
café owner to create a range of cakes and tarts for his highly successful café. So
began The Eumundi Food Company wholesale business, now Eumundi Cake Co.
Mary built a commercial kitchen on her small acreage at Eumundi and focused on
baking handmade, fresh, natural cakes using local ingredients wherever possible,
with her small team of talented, versatile helpers. The business grew over time to
supply some 35 cafes and restaurants in the Sunshine Coast area, with a reputation
for absolutely consistent reliability, great customer relations and support, and
fabulous innovative products.
Young Sarah Staib was looking for a job in 2014 when her sister heard through the
grapevine that Mary was looking for additional help in her kitchen. That began a
relationship that culminated with Sarah taking over the business in 2022, when Mary
was ready to retire. Sarah’s hard work, dedication and passion for cakes led her to
building her commercial kitchen on their own property. Eumundi Cake Co continues
to thrive under Sarah’s leadership, maintaining the tradition of crafting exceptional
cakes and upholding the company’s reputation for excellence in the sunshine coast
region.

Delivery
Delivery days are Tuesday and Friday morning with orders in by phone by 10am the
